Brienne of Tarth and Tormund Giantsbane, or “TORIENNE”, is the Internet’s new shipping sensation, after she arrived to Castle Black with Sansa and Podrick in Sunday’s on-fire episode and he and his beard smoldered, while chowing on bread, in her direction. But can’t you see just Brienne saying something like that, too? Now, as in numerous show’s best divergences from Martin’s narrative, they’ve thrown two random characters together just to see what kind of sparks can fly.

According to TV Guide, the episode’s director confirmed that fans weren’t just seeing what they wanted to see.
“Honestly, I’m surprised anyone even noticed”, Sackheim said of Brienne-Tormund’s moments in a separate interview with Tech Insider. “I’m always amazed what fans pick up”.
Other simply commented on wildling’s behaviour as they noted “Tormund throwing heart eyes to Brienne” and “Tormund’s making bedroom eyes at Brienne over dinner”.
“I wasn’t even sure that when I delivered that episode it was really clear”.
“It’s cool because they’re two characters who are sort of expressly cut off from emotions”. “He was overheard telling some of the other Wildlings that Brienne is ‘the whole package.’ Tormund’s hoping that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) can put in a good word for him”.
Brienne on the other hand didn’t look so keen but, hey, stranger things have happened on Game Of Thrones.
