Paul Ryan says he would step down as chairman of the Republican presidential convention if presumptive party nominee Donald Trump asked him to do so.

Ryan said last week that he was “just not ready” to throw his support behind Trump as the GOP nominee, after the presidential candidate swept the IN primary elections.
Trump then said on Sunday that he wouldn’t rule out blocking Ryan from serving as the GOP convention’s chairman.
Palin, the vice presidential candidate on the Republican ticket in 2008 and a former Alaska governor, is a prominent Trump supporter. Palin endorsed businessman Paul Nehlan, who is challenging Ryan in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, over the speaker, whose career she said “is over but for a miracle”. But he has repeatedly said, back in 2012, campaigning again in the debates, that he opposes Paul Ryan-style entitlement reform. “And I’d like to have his support, but if he doesn’t want to support me that’s fine”, he insisted. “I am willing to pay more, and you know what, the wealthy are willing to pay more”, he told ABC’s This Week. But he was sent packing despite his esteemed position in the party by Dave Brat, who ran a cantankerous race to the right of Cantor. I said, ‘Congratulations on winning the big race. And they’re going after me with women?
