The names of three other officers were added to the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial in Madison.

Sergeant Travis Welsh, with Missoula Police Department, says the ceremony is important for the law enforcement community as a whole.
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed naming “Police Week” as the week which includes May 15, which is National Police Memorial Day.
The ceremony was held at the Champaign County Courthouse Plaza and was attended by several dozen law enforcement officers and their families from around Champaign County.
On Thursday, they not only honored those from our city, but from law enforcement agencies across the Mid-South.
McFarland Police Officer Ryan Copeland was also added to the memorial.
Officers dressed in their best uniforms and, together with their families, pledged to remember lost loved ones.
