Given that the price range of the Coolpad Max is higher than their earlier devices launched in India, the company plans on launching another couple of products before Diwali this year. The 13-megapixel ISOCELL snapper (CMOS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, PDAF) can be found on the back of the Coolpad Max, while a 5-megapixel shooter (OV5648) is placed on the front side of this device. The display of this phone gets protection from 2.5D Arc Gorilla Glass 4.
Apart from having dual-SIM and dual standby support, the smartphone also offers a “Dual in One” system.
The phone has 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through a microSD card. The smartphone has dual-SIM dual-standby capabilities which means that the user could use both the SIM cards at the same time. It is powered by a Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor and Adreno 405 GPU which is paired with 4GB of RAM.
It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash on the back and a 5MP front camera for selfie lovers. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Coolpad Max, and on top of it, you’ll find the company’s Cool UI 8.0 Android-based skin. The Max also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is now a staple feature in nearly all of its phones in India. Besides unlocking the phone, the fingerprint scanner can be used for App Shortcut, Quick Capture, One Key Dial, Switch Space for using Dual Space feature.
Coming to the connectivity options, the handset features 2G/3G/4G LTE WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, Global Positioning System and Micro Usb.
The Coolpad Max has a 2800 mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, which is said to give about two hours of talk time with just five minutes of charge.
