Ahh another Apple update, another set of bugs and issues that are screwing up our iPads (or should we say iPad devices?). If you now visit Software Update on a 9.7 inch Pro, the system will merely indicate that iOS 9.3.1 is the most recent software version.

But it is unlikely the tech giant knew it would unleash furry on the iPad Pro. The issue at hand is the offending update that essentially bricks or renders the iPad Pro unusable and un-restorable, which has caused significant uproar.

An iPad Pro bricked after installing iOS 9.3.2. Apparently, for those affected, the issue is so severe that Apple is replacing devices that have encountered the bug. “We’ll issue an update as quickly as possible”. Can’t install, can’t restore’. One should be cautious especially since iOS 9.3.2 does not add any new features apart from a bugfix for the iPhone SE. The error message instructed users to plug their devices into iTunes to restore, but restoring did not fix the problem, leaving the iPad Pros bricked.

In response, Apple released a second version of the software update for older devices, allowing users to skip the Apple ID login, while the version can also be used to unbrick handsets via a computer, The Guardian reported.
