Starring Tony Hale and Adam Pally, this hysterical Funny Or Die short asks: what would happen if a group of American Civil War reenactors were really, really in to Marvel movies?

And last, but not least: Taking the third-place spot is the only wide release of the weekend, “Money Monster”, bringing in an estimated million and giving Jim Cramer a full head of hair. It has now taken in than $295 million at the domestic box office to date.

Another new release, The Darkness, a horror movie starring Kevin Bacon about a family who return home from vacation and find themselves haunted by the supernatural, was fourth with US$5.2 million.

Actors Anthony Mackie, from left, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Elizabeth Olsen, and Sebastian Stan appear in a scene from “Captain America: Civil War”. Next weekend sees the opening of “The Angry Birds Movie”, “The Nice Guys”, and “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”, before the big Memorial Day release of “Alice Through the Looking Glass” and “X-Men: Apocalypse“.

The Russos will next direct the movies known under the working titles Avengers: Infinity War Parts One and Two in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Rounding out the top five was domestic literary adaptation “Song of the Phoenix”, which took in 24.8 million yuan in the week.

Civil War grossed $5.9 million domestically on Tuesday. The latest in the Marvel Comics-based franchise, one that started long before Captain America and The Avengers, hits theaters in less than two weeks.

It is believed that Civil War will end up being the “highest-grossing live-action film of the summer”, pulling in around $450 million. The only problem is that it’s not exactly representative of Civil War as a whole and gives Spider-Man a little too much of the spotlight when you consider how long he’s actually in the movie.
