Donald Trump to Megyn Kelly: ‘I have regrets’
In the end, the interview broadcast on Tuesday night was essentially underwhelming; Ms Kelly pushed firmly but politely at Mr Trump, but the NY tycoon gave little away.

And in an interview excerpt Kelly aired on her show Monday night, he says something similar: “I have great respect for you, that you were able to call me and say, ‘Let’s get together and let’s talk.’ To me, I would not have done that”. It will be interesting to see how she treats me – I think she will be very fair. “I could have maybe used different language in a couple of instances”, Trump said.
The two have been engaged in a public battle for months, ever since Trump went off on Kelly after the first GOP presidential debate last August. “But I actually didn’t say it that way. If I can get through those questions, I can get through anything”.
Now to the republican side and Donald Trump racking up a win in OR overnight as he sits down with megyn Kelly and goes on the attack not just against Hillary Clinton but also her husband, ABC’s Tom llamas is here with the latest on all of that, good morning, Tom.
“There was a retweet. did I say that?” And then: “Excuse me”.
“Over your life, Megyn, you’ve been called a lot worse”, he said.
Trump’s Twitter rants and degrading remarks toward women including Kelly have been widely publicized.
“No, no, I’m not walking it back”, Trump said. “And I try and un-wound myself”.
Trump also announced he had submitted his candidate financial disclosure form to the Federal Election Commission.
Kelly: You said a mistake.
After the clip ended, Kelly told Colbert that she believed Trump thought he was simply reacting to the journalist’s initial attacks. Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi, and sparked a feud between the two rivals for the GOP nomination.
She also asked him about their relationship.
Trump has “absolutely” no regrets about the past nine months. Trump said that though he retweeted insults from his followers, he refrained from promoting the nastier comments. “I just always felt that taking the high road was the better course”.

“If I were soft, if I were “presidential”… If I would not have fought back the way I fought back, I don’t think I would have been successful”. The interview broadcast on Tuesday was decidedly not about policy.
