Winning mindset will see Manchester United recapture glory days – Mata

Louis van Gaal claims victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on Saturday would restore Manchester United’s pride after a turbulent season.

Van Gaal said: “I think the interests of the club are much more important, and the interest of the fans is more important, than those of the manager”.

Van Gaal’s job is under threat following two seasons of underachievement and the United manager was booed by fans as he addressed them after Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

“So just don’t have any regrets, make sure when you come off that pitch you’ve given everything you’ve got, because you might not get another chance”.

Anthony Martial has spoken about his first season and says he wants to become an icon for United in the coming years.

“There are a couple of things I probably will discard, you know he is a bit more safety conscious than me”, Pardew said, according to The Guardian.

It has ended up with two Premier League teams in the final which, I have to say, is not a surprise as statistically the FA Cup is won by the better teams in the top flight.

The Eagles take on Manchester United in Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley. “Playing there with such a crowd and an atmosphere like that in such a great stadium, it’s all there, what you need for a final”.

“It’s always hard when you are a record signing, but he has been the one bright light in United’s dismal season and his quality will probably be the difference between the teams”. He has been very important for us.

Scholes has been a vocal critic of van Gaal for large parts of this season as Man United suffered early exits in the Champions League and Capital One Cup before only mustering a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League. We’re all very close friends, it bonded us.

The duo have a frosty relationship after a falling-out in their native Holland, but, if van Gaal’s side win the FA Cup against Crystal Palace, they will send Saints flying into the group stages of the Europa League.

Against that bleak backdrop, Woodward and United’s owners the Glazer family are finally ready to turn to Mourinho rather than let Van Gaal see out the past year of his contract.

“(We are) street football – players from different roots, from non-league and Paris St Germain. “More than 50 per cent of their goals this season have come from set plays, and that is a lot more than us”.
