NY police are searching for the man who was allegedly seen Friday rolling a dead body around on a dolly in Staten Island.

Anthony Lopez, 31, shaved his head in order to disguise his appearance after police distributed a photo of him, police sources said.
Around 7 a.m. the NYPD says a detective responding to a tip spotted a man walking on Post Lane in Mariners Harbor pushing a metal cart with a corpse wrapped in cloth on it.
The officer reportedly recognized Lopez because he had arrested him in the past and called for backup.
When police arrived they saw the man – later identified as Anthony Lopez – who then took off running and left the body of an unconscious and unresponsive woman on the metal dolly, cops said.
Police have not yet released the identity of the woman.
The medical examiner will determine what caused the death of the unidentified woman, believed to be in her mid-20s.
EMS pronounced the female dead at the scene. “He had stuff on top of the body – trying to camouflage it”.

The gruesome find rattled Post Lane residents, including Supreme Coleman, 30, who lives at the home where the body was found. When knowledge of the man’s criminal history became known to them as well, some wondered why he had not been in jail and their fear that Lopez is still on the loose was expressed.
