He will also face other charges relating to bringing the horse from New Jersey to New Holland and abandoning her at the stable.
On May 20, Price was found guilty of all counts during an appearance in Lancaster County District Court, said Brett A. Hambright, media specialist for the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office.
When she was found, Lily had been pelted with an estimated 130 shots from a paintball gun.
Lily had her diseased right eye removed and required extensive treatment to remedy ulceration in her left eye. Also, Wilson played a surveillance video from the auction that shows Price dropping off the horse. New Holland police Detective Lt. Jonathan Heisse filed the charges and testified Friday.
A press conference will be held at Omega Horse Rescue Wednesday, May 25.
The horse was transported from a location in New Jersey to the auction site.
Jon Stewart’s wife, Tracey McShane, a former veterinary technician and animal advocate, came to visit the horse dubbed “Lily” in April, according to the Lancaster County SPCA. Her condition has improved and she has gained weight.

The couple then chose to adopt Lily and bring her to their farm sanctuary for abused animals in New Jersey.
