Android games to receive their own Early Access on Google Play

It works exactly as you’d expect, with in-development titles marked as Early Access Apps.

The awards were live-streamed late Thursday, and handed out trophies to 10 winners.

There is a slight difference in the approach followed by Apple and Google though. Houzz is an interior design app that wants to make it easy to find inspiration when designing your home. It also lets shop from home and you can use the smartphone camera to take a picture from a product page and insert it magically into your room to see how it will look.

Pretty solid selection. Houzz is a great app, one that I personally use pretty frequently.

The Standout Startup gong went to Hopper, which claims to help you save up to 40% on flights by predicting rates for airfare, sending you an alert when a specified flight is at its cheapest.

Currently, the app is still available on the Google Play Store, where Google reports that users installed the app over 100 million times.

Trend Micro does say that the app and its developers might not be to blame since the ads are retrieved and displayed via an advertising network, but the high number of negative user comments shows they’re not doing anything about it either.
