Massachusetts officer shot, condition unknown; suspect loose
A manhunt is underway in MA for a gunman who shot and killed a police officer early Sunday.

Auburn police Officer Ronald Tarentino was shot at about 12:30 a.m. after stopping a vehicle on a residential street, Chief Andrew Sluckis said during a news conference Sunday afternoon.
Officials say a manhunt is underway as they work to find the shooter.
A large presence of law enforcement members appeared for the procession of an officer killed in Auburn Sunday morning.
One officer on scene directed a reporter to the Auburn police station.
The bulletin said Zambrano should be considered armed and unsafe.
The suspect fled in a vehicle after the shooting, according to police.
Tarentino is survived by a wife and three children, Sluckis said.
Following his death at the hospital, officers and fire fighters lined up to honor the fallen police officer and pay their respect.
WCVB ABC5 in Boston reported that a neighbor overheard the shooting.

A motorcade took Officer Tarantino’s body to the office of the medical examiner in Boston Sunday morning.
