Army officer faces jail, after saving a pregnant cat

A lieutenant was facing problems just because she had saved a pregnant cat’s life when she was making distressing noise.

Later the military prosecutor’s indictment, accused her for violating an army rules which says “not to approach or be approached by wild, stray or unaccompanied animals”.

The military officer, Lieutenant Barbara Balanzoni, explained that “there were a lot of stray cats on the Nato base in Kosovo which were treated well by the troops, and on the day of the alleged incident, she had received a call saying one of them was making distressing noises”.

She added that, if she doesn’t helped that pregnant cat, named Agata, the cat would probably have died.

But the prosecutor from Ente Nazionale Protezione Animali, disagree with her facts about that situation. The case will go to trial on February 7.
