While still holding true to its 2D deathmatch format, Worms WMD comes on the heels of Worms World Party Remastered being announced.

With an on-screen control interface and shorter matches with smaller teams, Worms 4 will be tailor-made for the mobile platform compared to previous releases. It seems that “hiding” tactics will go out of the window, as players are forced to take risks they would usually not even think about in a normal Worms game. A price has not yet been revealed.
Worms WMD arrives for PC and Xbox One in 2016, while Worms 4 wriggles onto iPhone, iPod and iPad in August. Want to see what it looks like?
“2015 is a special year for us, as it marks both Worms’ 20th birthday and Team17’s 25th anniversary”, says Mickey Torode, marketing director at Team17.
Worms 4, the “definitive handheld Worms experience”, makes the series’ gameplay truly accessible for the first time on iOS devices. The title will be on Xbox One and PC sometime next year. We’ll keep you posted.
