Indian Climber Subhash Pal Dies After Climbing Mt Everest, 2 Others Missing
Paresh Nath and Goutam Ghosh, who were in the team of Paul, are untraceable since Saturday. The sad news of the past week’s deaths on Everest remind us that humans cannot always overcome nature, as we often think we can.

Two of their companions who fell sick were being helped down the mountain, Sherpa said.
And 30 climbers have suffered frostbite or become seriously ill on Everest in recent days, as the spring climbing season comes to a close.
However the mountain’s most successful female climber reached the summit for the seventh time on Friday.
“It took a big and risky effort, but we were able to save her”, Pemba Sherpa said, adding that an Iranian climber identified only as S. Hadi had been brought to Kathmandu and was recovering in a hospital.
An expedition is now being arranged to retrieve the bodies of the climbers.
“This was a man-made disaster that may have been minimized with better management of the teams”, he said.
More details were not available because of communication difficulties on the 8,850-meter (29,035-foot) mountain.
Worth mentioning, more than 350 climbers including 140 foreigners have successfully scaled the 8849 metre tall Mt Everest this season.
A Dutch man died Friday and an Australian woman died hours later after suffering from altitude sickness on Everest.
Two climbers who reached the summit of Mount Everest died on the way down from apparent altitude sickness, according to reports.
In an interview posted on the Monash Business School website shortly before the couple left to climb Everest, Strydom said, “It seems that people have this warped idea of vegans being malnourished and weak”. Two climbers died from altitude sickness, one fell to his death, and one is suspected of dying from a heart attack, CNN reported.
The two deaths are the first confirmed this year on the world’s highest mountain.
“Two-thirds of the accidents happen on the way down”. When you succeed at reaching your goal, it makes you reflect on the hard days, the work, and lessons I’ve learned along the way. More than 330 climbers have reached the summit from Nepal since May 11, and several more have done so from the northern routes in Tibet.
Since Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary first conquered Everest in 1953, 4,000 climbers managed to do the same. Just this past week, four people died trying to summit the colossal peak.
Yet, some criticize expedition companies for taking novice climbers without any mountaineering experience.

Last year, Nepal’s devastating natural disaster caused the climbing season to be cancelled, and climbing attempts were largely abandoned in 2014 after an avalanche above the base camp killed 16 Sherpa guides.
