Chinese, Pakistani Premiers Exchange Congratulations over 65th Anniversary of Diplomatic Ties
The chief minister congratulated Chinese Ambassador on completion of 65 years diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.Talking to the Chinese Ambassador, Shahbaz Sharif said that unflinching relations of friendship exist between Pakistan and China.

Addressing the reception gathering, Pakistani President Hussain said “All-weather friendship between Pakistan and China had transformed into a strategic partnership, which is not only a source of stability for the two countries but stands for the development and betterment of humankind”.
He said, Pak-China friendship had become a model for the world.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid said CPEC is the project of peace and development.
The CM said the Chinese cultural performance was in fact a celebration of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), great future prospects for both the countries and their commitment to support each other. The construction of ports and road infrastructure in the region will bring the people closer to each other.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Consul General in Lahore Yu Boren said that CPEC was a long-term and systematic process instead of a project or series of projects.
Another speaker, former foreign secretary Shamshad Ahmed said the most unique feature of this inter-state friendship between two ideologically different rather opposite countries, is that it has survived several political and economic changes in both the countries. He said China had been standing with Pakistan like a honest friend and supported it in every time of need; Pak-China relations strengthened during the period of the present government, he added.
“China has always proved to be an iron brother, steadfast friend and a reliable partner of Pakistan”.
China-Pakistan relations have maintained a strong momentum and the two countries have witnessed progress in practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, he said.

The ambassador said the two countries have always extended a helping hand to each other in testing times, and they maintain close collaboration on important regional and global issues.
