Gameday: Warriors favored over Thunder in Game 4

Now that the dust settles from Game 3’s blowout, the Warriors are set to return to the court Tuesday night to take back the series.

Memphis beat Golden State 97-90 in Oakland in Game 2, then won 99-89 in Game 3. Meanwhile Ibaka and Roberson backups, Enes Kanter and Dion Waiters, combined for 23 points off the bench.

Green was called for a fragrant foul 1 after he was fouled by Adams with 5:57 remaining in the second quarter and kicked his leg up into Adams’ groin.

Klay Thompson (18 points) was the only other Warriors player to register double-figure points, a stark comparison to the Thunder, who had six players with 10 points or more.

Green probably intentionally in that split-second wanted to kick Steven Adams where you shouldn’t kick a man. It’d have been hard to argue against a one-game suspension.

Yet, reigning MVP Stephen Curry insists they know what they have to do. But you caught him in the groin area so I have to give you a Flagrant.’ I didn’t argue it or nothing.

“Both times, we got blown out in Game 3, and we responded well, so we have that memory”, Warriors head Coach Steve Kerr said. “The OVER is 3-0 in the last three games these two teams have played in Oklahoma City”.

“I think when you see a shooting percentage of 34 percent by them in the first half, and again, I’m not sitting there saying it was all of our defense because it wasn’t – there were some clear looks that didn’t go in – both teams on missed shots are very, very aggressive and very dynamic in transition”, Donovan said. “I would think they would rescind it. This stuff happens all the time”.

Westbrook: I’ve never been fined for one flop since I’ve been playing in the National Basketball Association. But I know I didn’t do it on goal. We can’t let anything distract us.

It will take Kerr and his staff coming up with a few tweaks that help the Warriors find their offensive rhythm and make it tougher on Durant and Westbrook – without anything backfiring on the Warriors. “That’s always been like a mantra”. Extending one leg underneath another man’s spread legs is a reckless move, with potentially painful consequences for a defender who is simply standing his ground. I said OK, that’s understandable.

As Tim Kawakami said, “The Warriors are going to have to win one on the road, either Game 4 or Game 6”. “But I’ll take 1 as opposed to 8”.

The Golden State Warriors (73-9) will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder (55-27) on Tuesday at the Chesapeake Energy Arena for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Golden State Warriors starting center, Andrew Bogut, had a much simpler assessment of his team’s current predicament: “This season and last season, we haven’t lost wire to wire like this, where they absolutely kicked our ass”. Obviously, they’re a different opponent and have different strengths.
