Thunder demolish Warriors, grab 2-1 series lead

Golden State, which set an National Basketball Association record with 73 regular-season wins, has not lost two games in a row all season but will have to quickly bounce back from an embarrassment.

Green and Adams have engaged in a testy sequence of exchanges during this series and the Golden State forward also kneed the New Zealander in the groin during Game Two, prompting the Thunder center to say his opponent had “peaked with annoyingness” following the contest.

The Warriors shot 10 for 33 from 3-point range, got out rebounded 52-38, outassisted 21-19, while committing 14 turnovers for 18 points and a very disappointed Kerr believes his team got exactly what it deserved.

“I thought it was inadvertent”, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

That’s the second time in the series that Green has hit Adams in that area.

“We got our butts kicked”, Kerr said.

“I’m confident we’re going to come out and play a great game in game four”. Westbrook made all three free throws to put the Thunder up 72-47 at the break. Durant had 33 points and eight rebounds while Westbrook added 30 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were able to come away with a 133-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors at home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

During the postgame news conference on Sunday night, Donovan nearly immediately mentioned not only All-Stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook – who had combined for a Game 3 total of 63 points on 20-of-34 shooting – but also Serge Ibaka (14 points and eight rebounds), Dion Waiters (13 points on 6-of-11 shooting) and Enes Kanter (10 points, 12 rebounds). But not all that much considering Oklahoma City was just behind the Warriors as the league’s No. 2 scoring team this season.

Curry shot 4 for 13 in the first half, Thompson went 5 for 14 and Green 1 for 8. I’m not trying to kick somebody in the midsection. It will be a game of runs and I wouldn’t be surprised if both teams closed the game with their small lineups on the court.

“You watch my reaction: I walked back to the three-point line, clapped everybody’s hand and looked at (Adams) like, ‘Why is this dude on the floor?’ All the camera angles out there, they could see that, too”. With Tuesday’s Game 4 now even more highly anticipated, tensions between the two teams can be expected to be through the roof.

Steph Curry missed a total of 10 shots in game 3, including 8 from three-point territory.

Not only did the Thunder beat the Warriors, they embarrassed them to the tune of a 133-105 beat down.
