Sen. Reid calls for people to ‘lay off’ Bernie Sanders

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders dueled for support Tuesday ahead of California’s presidential primary, as the Vermont senator showed few signs of backing off his efforts to boost his longshot odds for the nomination.

The Clinton and Sanders campaigns struck an agreement in February of extending the Democratic debate schedule by four more debates.

Clinton’s attacks were echoed by her campaign and Democrats across the country, who highlighted comments Trump made in 2006 saying he “sort of hopes” the housing bubble would burst because “people like me could make a lot of money”.

That’s leaving some Democrats anxious that the primary season won’t be a cathartic and ultimately unifying experience.

Sarah Parrish still “Feels the Bern”, even as Sen. After it was announced that Clinton would receive additional delegates at the state convention, Sanders supporters voiced their displeasure, shouting and allegedly causing a scene.

Wasserman Schultz’s other picks include pro-Israel Rep. Howard Berman of California; Bonnie Schaefer, who has been philathropically involved with the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Weizmann Institute of Science; and California Rep. Barbara Lee, who joined other House members in criticism of Israel during its 2009 conflict with Gaza.

“I also would suggest that Secretary Clinton may want to be not quite so presumptuous about thinking that she is a certain victor”, Sanders said in a sharply worded statement.

“In the last several weeks, the people of Indiana, West Virginia and OR have suggested otherwise”. As Sanders promises a “messy” convention in Philadelphia this Summer, Clinton’s high-handed behavior actually fuels the fire already smoldering within the party.

“We will be in a very strong position to fight for an economy that works for all of our people”, Sanders told reporters Monday, highlighting the cornerstone of his campaign.

Before his rally in San Jose on Wednesday, in sweltering afternoon heat, Sanders told The Chronicle that part of the reason he’s holding rallies around the state is to flash his power to the unpledged superdelegates he wants to woo at the national convention in July.

Donald Trump is running out the clock; Bernie Sanders is running on a treadmill, Hillary Clinton is running, running, running.

But in many ways, she appears to be the last person suitable to wooing Sanders supporters.

In another statement, Bill Sammon, Fox’s VP and Washington Managing Editor, said the network was “disappointed that Secretary Clinton has declined our debate invitation, especially given that the race is still contested and she had previously agreed to a final debate before the California primary”.

The drafting committee presents the document to the full platform committee, which votes on it during the convention. Although it’s not surprising that Sanders would back Feingold since they share similar outlooks, Sanders has not thus far gotten involved in endorsing or campaigning for Senate Democratic candidates.
