Bernie Sanders’ Marriage of Convenience With Democrats Fraying
When the vice president was asked Wednesday whether he had seen the videos of unruly Sanders supporters at the Nevada convention, Biden seemed to back up Sanders: “That’s not Bernie”, he said.

Warnings from top Democrats on Capitol Hill have failed to broker peace, and Sanders supporters say the heated discussion is healthy for a party trapped in the past. “It will be very easy for him… to talk about how Hillary is now supporting [what] he wanted, [and] the Democratic Party is now paying more attention to inequality, to the minimum wage”.
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is upping the ante on his chief rival Hillary Clinton.
With the Kentucky race too close for most U.S. networks to call a victor, Clinton declared victory shortly after Kentucky’s secretary of state Alison Lundergan Grimes announced on CNN that Clinton was the unofficial victor in her state. “We have told the network that we would accept the invitation with the understanding that we can reach mutual agreement on the debate moderators, the format and other details”, Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ campaign manager, said in a statement.
“No one in America should ever fear for their safety at a political rally”, Sanders said in a statement.
“The only thing that matters is what happens between now and June 14”, Devine said, referring to the final Democratic primary, in the District of Columbia. The phone number and address of the chairwoman of the Nevada Democratic Party, Roberta Lange, was posted on social media – prompting a flood of more than 1,000 calls, angry voicemails, text messages and even death threats.
Sanders sent a fundraising letter to his supporters earlier on Wednesday that said he had won the OR primary and “came to yet another virtual tie, this time in Kentucky”.
“Thanks to the people of Kentucky, we won half of the delegates there”.
Conversely, voter participation on the Republican side – where Trump clinched the presumptive nomination weeks ago – saw a notable increase on Tuesday versus 2008. Sanders will need to win about two-thirds of the remaining pledged delegates to end the primary season in a tie but is not letting up.

In Nevada Saturday, Sanders supporters took issue with what they believed was an unfair process of selecting delegates that favored Clinton. In Kentucky, the former secretary of state finished the night with 47% of the vote, and an additional 27 delegates as a result.
