Out with a Whimper (Warriors 94, Thunder 118)
The greatest regular-season team in National Basketball Association history went numb on Tuesday night, before, during and especially after their 118-94 loss at Chesapeake Energy Arena to fall behind 3-1 in this Western Conference finals.

After getting blown out by the Thunder in Game 4, 114-98, the Golden State Warriors have now lost back-to-back games for the first time all season.
Westbrook put up an UNBELIEVABLE triple-double: he had 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
The Thunder can close out the Warriors with a victory Thursday in the hostile Oracle Arena, Golden State’s home.
Curry and the Warriors trail the Thunder three games to one and are on the brink of elimination. “Do that, and we put some pressure on them and we’ll see what happens”.
“I think we’re in a good place, but like I said, this game is over”, Westbrook said.
“He just had a lousy night”, Kerr said. That was the case for even young kids who play the game near Woodland Park as part of their after-school program.
As for the NBA’s Most Valuable Player, Warriors point guard Steph Curry was relatively ineffective in this game with just a 19-point performance, and was just six of 20 from the field. Roberson made them pay for the lack of respect with 17 points, 12 rebounds and five steals in Game 4.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City got a boost from an unlikely source.
If anything, the kick controversy seemed to have affected Green, who scored only six points. Durant had 33 points and eight rebounds while Westbrook added 30 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists.
Said Green: “The passes that you usually make, you can’t really make”. “Lucky for us we’re going home and just got to get that win from home and go from there”. “We’ve got to believe in ourselves”.
All five Thunder starters finished in double-digit scoring. That doesn’t sound like a tough task for a team that has won so many games, but it is when two of its three All-Stars – including MVP Stephen Curry – have come up short the past two games.
OKC leads 72-53 at the half.
In the postseason, Durant leads in points with 27.8 while Steven Adams tops in rebounds with 9.7.
Led by the sharpshooting abilities of Klay Thompson, the Warriors cut the score to 80-74 with 4:48 left in the frame. Unfortunately for Golden State, Thompson picked up his third foul just below the 8-minute mark of the second, resulting in him sitting until the half. After struggling mightily with the post-Draymond Dubs, Russ has seemingly figured them out over the last two games, setting the tone early and doing whatever the hell he liked on offense, while running around like a maniac on defense.

While the first half was a circus throughout the Peake, there was a little more nervous energy in the third quarter as the Warriors fired back with a response.
