Galaxy C5 clears FCC as its price leaks on the internet
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active might not be official yet but that’s not stopped plenty of leaks already revealing the look and now the specs of the handset. However, that does not diminish the list of features that the regular versions of Samsung’s flagship family have to deliver, since apart from featuring a larger battery capacity than its predecessors, not to mention a MicroSD card slot, Galaxy S7 outclasses its competition. That could change in June when Samsung is reportedly going to unveil a ruggedized version of the S7 series, the Galaxy S7 Active, with mobile carrier AT&T, according to a May 23 story by VentureBeat. The Galaxy S7 Active is also expected to be physically larger than the Galaxy S7, with the former coming in at 9.9mm-thick and the latter measuring in at 7.9mm.

It now appears that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active will not ship with a 5.5-inch display and will instead use the same 5.1-inch quad-HD screen found on the Galaxy S7.
In many ways, Galaxy S7 Active will be superior to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in terms of survivability; its rugged chassis will be able to hold out against the elements.
Understandably, the choice of battery in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active also made it a bit heavier. Now the specifications for AT&T’s and Samsung’s upcoming rugged handset have leaked. It features 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the new Active will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
That increase is likely due to the S7 Active’s significantly larger battery, whose 4000mAh capacity is nearly 15 percent greater than the prior model’s 3500mAh pack. Also to be included is a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera that features the same low-light enhancing dual pixel sensor used in the Galaxy S7.

Blass says the USA version of the phone will be available exclusively from AT&T when it launches in June. It’s believed to be an AT&T exclusive, so if you’re outside the USA you might be out of luck.
