Braves 5, Royals 0: Mike Foltynewicz got his first victory since August 8 and Atlanta (9-26) avoided matching the worst 35-game start in franchise history – 8-27, set by the 1911 Boston Braves. The Sox averaged 73 runs over those seven games.

Boston’s Brock Holt was ejected in the seventh inning for arguing balls and strikes after he struck out looking. Hanley Ramirez will serve as the DH in place of Ortiz in Sunday’s series finale. David Ortiz would be the hero in the 11th inning with a walk off game winning double! OF Preston Tucker will be optioned to Triple-A with a corresponding move to come on Tuesday.
