Donald Trump moved closer to the Republican presidential nomination Tuesday by winning the Washington primary, CNN projected. He added the debate “would have such high ratings”.

As for the issues, Trump and Kimmel also discussed the recent controversy where Trump appeared to be pretending to be his own publicist in a 1991 interview with the Washington Post – Trump denied the voice in a recording of the interview was him – and Trump’s stance on the transgender bathroom laws now being passed in many states across the country.

In an email to The Associated Press in response to questions about Warren’s remarks, Trump said: “She’s one of the least successful Senators in the U.S. Senate”.

Dale Ranney, 62, a Trump volunteer who has been to 21 of his rallies, said she would be delighted to see Trump and Sanders debate.

“I’m very appreciative to him for bringing [this] out about Clinton”, she said. “Absolutely. Go for it”.
