X-Men: Apocalypse stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, and Rose Byrne. After several X-Men films already though, it was probably best to let these characters take a step back from their back stories and individual stories and just be themselves for the fans to enjoy.

That’s not to say “Apocalypse” isn’t a fun flick on its own. The ad first shows a small movie preview of the new X-Men film before informing users that they can swipe up to get more information about the movie and even purchase tickets. Despite the familiar names, a new villain is introduced in the form of Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), an ancient mutant who looks to cleanse the world and rule it like a god. He wants to wipe out greedy, intolerant humans and restore the mutants to deified status. “You can defeat the most powerful mutant in the history of X-Men”.
Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Tye Sheridan in “X-Men: Apocalypse”. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction. But when personal tragedy strikes, he goes on a destructive streak. Magneto’s companions will be the young and mohawked Storm (Alexandra Shipp); the blade-armed Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Angel (Ben Hardy).
A muscular, mutton-chopped X-Man here referred to as Weapon X isn’t part of the fight, but thrills in a brief, shirtless cameo.
Ultimately, “X-Men: Apocalypse” had the biggest opening weekend in the “X-Men” franchise. The press junket for X-Men: Apocalypse was held in London, England earlier this month, and during my day speaking with the cast and filmmakers behind the blockbuster, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Evan Peters to talk about his return as Peter Maximoff a.k.a.
Peters shines as Quicksilver, a dorky-cool, ultra-’80s Marty McFly who provides playful comedy as well as zippy action sequences.
As you would expect from a big budget blockbuster, the special effects are incredible and the movie features many thrilling action sequences.
Acceptance of diversity and difference has always been a key theme in the X-Men movies and this is true again here.

Even though Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse” has received negative reviews thus far from the global market, the cast of the movie are optimistic that another movie will be in the works for the franchise and have expressed their eagerness to return.
