New pictures released of the Queen as a child
On May 15th, members of the royal family flooded into Windsor to help honour Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, at a special gala marking her 90th birthday.

Prince Charles is Patron of the celebrations and he wrote a signed note in the programme.
The classical quartet has, in the past, performed for the Queen at the London Palace and twice at Windsor Castle, so they are a bit of a fave with Lilibet.
Appropriately, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, 94, arrived in the horse-drawn Scottish state carriage.
Ant and Dec were presenting the show, and introduced a whole host of acts from singers Gary Barlow and Katherine Jenkins performing moving songs to Jim Carter and Helen Mirren reciting historical moments from the Queen’s life.
A royal cavalry from Oman and displays from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police added to the global flavor of the ceremony along with other troupes.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be asked to play a part in the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations”.
The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration airs on Sunday at 8.35pm on ITV.

Shirley sang her famous James Bond theme Diamonds are Forever, while Kylie performed her 2007 hit I Believe In You.
The queen, who has been on the throne for 64 years and is the oldest monarch in British history, mingled with crowds during a walkabout near the castle when she turned 90 on April 21.

The date of Elizabeth’s birth was marked by military gun salutes around the country last month, but traditionally monarchs also have “official” birthday events in the summer months.
