Clinton’s Former Chief of Staff Moves to Block Deposition Video Release
Lawyers for Cheryl Mills filed a motion in federal court on Wednesday asking the court to ensure that the video of Mills’ deposition regarding Clinton’s private email server will remain private. It will be one of multiple transcript releases from the case that could compel the Federal Bureau of Investigation to recommend indictment against Hillary Clinton or her aides Huma Abedin or Mills. He said it was “unnecessary” to have the video released.

In a brief order on Thursday evening, Judge Emmet Sullivan granted the request of lawyers for Clinton’s ex-chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, who had anxious that video clips of her interview could be used for political purposes, according to The Hill.
“The public has a right to know details related to the creation, goal and use of the clintonemail.com system”.
The judge also said his ruling will apply to the rest of the depositions in the case – which would include any deposition of Hillary Clinton – if there is one.
Judge Sullivan sided with her.
The lawyers express concern that “snippets or soundbites of the deposition may be publicized in a way that exploits Ms. Mills image and voice in an unfair and misleading manner”.
A motion was filed by Mills’ attorney on Wednesday on grounds of fear that the conservative group requesting the deposition through the Freedom of Information Act lawsuit will use the recordings to distort her testimony and further their anti-Clinton agenda.
Ms. Mills supports the release of the written transcript of her deposition to the public.
Clinton has continued to deny any wrongdoing in her conduct.
Judicial Watch interviewed another former State Department staffer, Lewis Lukens, last week, and is expected to release the transcript from that interview Thursday, according to a Judicial Watch spokesperson. Judicial Watch contends that Clinton used her private e-mail in part to sidestep the open-records law that would have made many of her communications public.

“We should talk about putting you on state email or releasing your email address to the department so you are not going to get spam”, Abedin told her boss.
