England manager Roy Hodgson has said Jamie Vardy “deserves” time off for his wedding, even though it means the striker will miss his country’s next game.

Jordan Henderson will also hope to start, with Hodgson resting the five Tottenham players who featured against Turkey and not intending to play Jamie Vardy.
“It is great to have players who you play with week in, week out, in the England team but whoever is playing, we have a lot of great players in the side”.
