Wahlberg stars as Mike Williams, an oil rig worker who leaves his wife (Hudson) and young daughter to work what is considered one of the most unsafe jobs in the world. Directed by Peter Berg, this story honors the courageous men and women whose heroism would save many on board, and change everyone’s lives forever. Matthew Sand handles the screen story and co-scripts with Matthew Michael Carnahan.
The new trailer, titled “Heroes”, shows Mark Wahlberg‘s character fighting to survive after the oil rig explodes.
The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, Kate Hudson, John Malkovich and Dylan O’Brien.
