NYC rapper arrested in shooting at concert hall
Some media reports-including the New York Daily News article cited above -claim that the shooting was the result of an argument between Maino’s crew and Troy Ave’s.

The 33-year-old has been charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The Brooklyn-based performer goes by the stage name Troy Ave. He was also shot in the leg Wednesday night.
As we previously reported, Ronald McPhatter (aka BSB Banga) was fatally shot and killed during a gun battle backstage at the venue.
The hip hop artist, Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. commonly known as T.I., was luckily not on the stage during the shooting.
Collins suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in the shooting.
According to New York Daily News, the Brooklyn rapper allegedly fired a gun inside New York’s Irving Plaza before accidently shooting himself in the leg.
Sources say some of the rappers had an ongoing dispute.
The incident lead to a stray bullet striking a 21-year-old woman.
By the time the building was evacuated, there were three injuries and 1 death, on account to the green room altercation involved rapper Troy Ave.
One of the victims, a 33-year-old man, was shot in the stomach and was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said. He hasn’t returned a message.
Collins, Heckstall and Vinson are in stable condition. “I say that because I watched how my son would always bend over backwards to help him”, she told the NYDailyNews.

“It’s unfortunate that still in that gangster rap world that’s what you’re dealing with, the gangster lifestyle”, Bratton said.
TI’s representative didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment.
“The investigation is moving forward very rapidly, and we expect to close it quickly”, police Commissioner Bill Bratton told WOR 710. One man died from his wounds. He walked to New York University hospital, authorities said.
Police said they recovered five nine-millimeter shell casings from the scene.
“They called him “Banger” because he banged on bigger dudes in basketball, not because he’s banging and shooting people down in the streets”, Shanduke said.
The shooting occurred Wednesday night in the venue where hip-hop artist T.I. was scheduled to perform.
Collins was among those injured in the shooting and remains hospitalized.
