Anne Hathaway Absolutely DESTROYED James Corden In An Epic Rap Battle

We told you-shots were fired throughout this entire back-and-forth. Corden rapped that it was hard to say anything mean about the sweet Hathaway, but managed to deliver a few rhymes about her clawless take on Catwoman, her “awful British accent” in the movie One Day, and her rambling Oscar acceptance speech.

James kicked things off with a painful diss about Anne’s role in blockbuster “The Dark Knight Rises”, slamming the actress as he announced, “the only Catwoman I acknowledge is Hale Berry”. Gosh, what do I do? She and Corden faced off in a rap battle that started courteous and professional but quickly got personal. “The one direction that makes sense is away from you”, she rapped. “Now that I finally have a chance to speak, I saw your rhymes are like your ratings, damn, they’re incredibly weak”.

And then came the real zinger: “I’m like your wife: I watch Seth Meyers instead”.

It’s a amusing match-up: Corden is one of TV’s reigning lords of virality, whose Carpool Karaoke segments have made him one of the Internet’s favorite late-night hosts-regardless of his TV ratings. But Hathaway took the crown with this bossed-up final line: “I battle with love and joy, so I am always unafraid / But son, now you know how it feels to get Hatha-slayed”.
