According to senior journalist Kamran Khan, due to his Prime Ministerial activities, Nawaz was delaying his heart tests that happened last month. Reports will be received on Monday.
The PM’s daughter said he had a cardiac procedure in 2011 called “Atrial Fibrillation Ablation”, during which certain complications occurred resulting in perforation of heart which later turned into an open-heart surgery.
This is Nawaz Sharif’s second trip to London for medical check-up in few weeks’ time.
The prime minister departed for London three days ago for a medical checkup and is scheduled to return to the country on May 26 (today).
Though there is as yet no official announcement regarding the acting prime minister, a cabinet member wishing not to be named told Anadolu Agency that Sharif’s close relative and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar would run government affairs in his absence.

Meanwhile, the prime minister’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz, used her twitter account to dispel rumours that there were differences in the family over their future after the Panama leaks.
