What WWE’s Raw-SmackDown brand split really means
It was recently announced that the WWE will effectively be resuming its brand split as its primary shows, “SmackDown” and “Raw”, will now have different schedules come “SmackDown’s” move to Tuesdays on July 19. A draft will be held before the “Smackdown” launch date to determine which wrestlers on the company’s talent roster will be assigned to which program.

They also discussed the things WWE should avoid and also pointed out the mistakes of the previous drafts. Though many Reigns and Cena detractors may have preferred Rollins and Ambrose to be in the main event picture, considering that WWE continues to push Reigns to the moon, it seems that a high-profile victory against Cena on their biggest show of the year will be more the more likely option.

Steve Austin would quickly clarify his statement regarding WWE’s current roster depth, however, noting that WWE’s biggest roadblock today was not necessarily one of depth, but rather the unknown star power of many of its performers.
Steve Austin has gone on record as saying he hopes WWE keeps a single World champion, in this case Roman Reigns, to float between both Raw and Smackdown after the brand extension.
With 874 original episodes, “Smackdown” is the second longest-running weekly episodic program, only behind “Raw” at 1,200 episodes.
“OSN prides itself in showing all programming from the WWE Universe at the same time as the United States and deliver the ultimate viewing experience for fans”.
But it’ll also hopefully herald the return of those fab Smackdown vs. Raw video games. A recent announcement confirmed rumors that the company will undergo a brand extension, splitting RAW and SmackDown through a lottery and adding a new world champion. The only crossover talent should be the WWE Champion.
With more spots to fill on television, many mid card wrestlers will be elevated to the main event, and many undercard wrestlers and jobbers, will be able to get more time in front of the fans, and turn their career around.

If you’re a fan of WWE, and unless you’ve been under a rock all day, you may have seen the news that WWE is to bring back the Brand Split in July. “To me, it could have the makings of making SmackDown the hotter, more popular show”. This suggests that Austin is of the belief that the title should not be bifurcated back into the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship. The obvious move here is to move Shane over to Smackdown where he can build that brand using the organization’s younger stars. That show will be taped for Thursday, June 30 on USA Network. Five men qualified for the ladder match, which includes former World Champion Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
