Copperhead snake bites worker at home improvement store

One that was hiding at a Lowe’s garden center in North Carolina levied a surprise attack on one of the store’s customers late Monday afternoon, reports WXIN.

DENVER, N.C. (AP) — A poisonous snake in a tree in the gardening department has bitten an employee at a home improvement store in North Carolina.

Firefighters are warning people to be mindful of their surroundings when shopping for gardening supplies.

“Please watch the trees in the garden area of Lowe’s Home Improvement”, the statement warned. The bite victim’s condition is not known at this time. The snake bit the employee! “He said he’s in a lot of pain and hurts real bad”, the caller said. He was taken to the hospital. The copperhead sank its teeth into the customer, who was treated at a local hospital after employees called 911, Cobb told NBC News.

“A customer was outside in the lawn and garden center where trees are displayed for sale when the customer was bitten by a snake”.
