Buhari Promises Better Future For Nigerian Children
Femi Gbajabimila, majority leader of the house of representatives, has alleged that the level of corruption under former President Goodluck Jonathan is unprecedented in the history of the world.

While Gbajabiamila was speaking with newsmen at a Town Hall meeting he himself organised on his account of stewardship to the people of his Surulere Federal Constituency in Lagos, he said the empty purse left by Dr Jonathan is why things are hard for the present government.
He said in the course of its history Nigeria became an oil economy and “we left agriculture and solid minerals and everyone went to the city to look for oil money”.
He was told, Buhari said, that Nigeria’s petrol was being smuggled out to neighbouring countries because it was very cheap but he countered that what our neighbours consume is only about one large Nigerian city’s supply.
Buhari added, “We made a bad mistake by becoming a mono-product economy, hinged on oil and we are now in a volatile situation due to the crash in oil prices”.
“Apart from the falling oil revenue, we have read in the papers how people are being tried for looting the country’s treasury; how people were putting billions meant for terror war in their pockets”.
The Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday said there was no better time to diversify the West African nation’s economy than now.
As the West African country grapples with being on the verge of recession, partially because of the plunging price of oil, Buhari said he was determined to diversify Nigeria’s economy by branching out beyond the oil market, All Africa reported.
Gbajabiamila also pointed out that the strike embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to call for the reversal of fuel price hike did not succeed because there was no need for it in the first place, saying Labour was duly informed of the situation warranting subsidy removal.
The President noted that it is a thing of joy that on this year’s Children’s Day, the nation can celebrate the safe return of one of the Chibok girls, Amina Ali Nkeki and many other abducted women and children who have been freed from the clutches of Boko Haram.
President Buhari commended the outgoing ambassadors for their efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and their countries during their tenure in Abuja.

Gbajabamiala said he had provided N10million in empowerment support to some of his constituents and had secured employment for 15 of them in the federal civil service.
