Los Angeles To Host 2021 Super Bowl
And if New Orleans had secured the rights to Super Bowl LIII, it’s believed Atlanta would have easily beaten Miami for Super Bowl LIV. Although the venue is now undergoing upgrades to its video boards and suite areas this summer, it wasn’t enough to break the trend of new stadiums receiving Super Bowls.

The NFL announced the locations of three more future Super Bowls during its annual spring meeting on May 24.
This will be the Super Bowl game in the Los Angeles area since 1993 when Super Bowl XXVIII was played at the Rose Bowl between the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. Atlanta is in the process of building the $1.4 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is set to open next summer.
2021: Los Angeles-The Rams are hoping to have their stadium in Inglewood ready for the 2019 regular season.
The news came in today as Los Angeles was chosen to host for Super Bowl Fifty-Five or LV in 2021. Atlanta also plans to host the College Football Playoff championship game in 2018. Super Bowl LII is slated for Minnesota’s under-construction U.S. Bank Stadium.
In 2015, Super Bowl XLIX became the most-watched American television program in history with an average audience of 114.4 million viewers.
Dolphins.com notes committee chairman Rodney Barreto said he felt confident about the group’s bid for the game. “So I think an extra year might be good”. The Super Bowl will be coming shortly thereafter.
“We are honored that the National Football League is bringing the Super Bowl to Los Angeles in 2021”, Casey Wasserman, who is chair of both the Los Angeles Super Bowl bid and LA24, said in a statement. “The only thing that could be better is if we were playing in the game and winning it”, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said. The stadium is now scheduled to open next year. “Now, at long last, we’re bringing it back where it belongs”.
