‘Very unhappy’ Ryan Giggs nearing Manchester United exit after Jose Mourinho appointment

Jose Mourinho boasted that giant clubs needed the best managers as he took over at Manchester United on Friday.

Jose Mourinho has told everyone associated with Manchester United to forget the three-year period under David Moyes and Louis van Gaal as he looks to replicate the triumphant history that made the club a “giant”.

But the transfer rumour mill is in overdrive and a reunion with United’s new manager Jose Mourinho has been mooted, with Raiola stoking the fire by dropping hints about Ibrahimovic’s next potential destination. “His track record of success is ideal to take the club forward”.

United’s only highlight of last term came in the form of a 12th FA Cup success, but that wasn’t enough to prevent the club’s board from ringing the managerial changes.

Mourinho’s excitement to be taking over a club with a “mystique and a romance” is clear, as is his desire to revive United’s ailing fortunes.

“I think I prefer to forget the past three years”.

There is also, of course, Arsene Wenger, who is entering his 21st season as Arsenal manager, as well as Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri, who masterminded the most unlikely title triumph in Premier League history this season.

The 53 year old has been out of work since December after being sacked by Chelsea who he guided to three Premier League titles, three League Cups and an FA Cup over two spells with the club.

“I am in the right moment in my career”, he said.

“The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time”.

After three days of talks, the Portuguese – dubbed the “Special One” agreed a three-year contract on a salary reportedly worth more than US$20 million (S$27.5 million) a year. The players need to hear that, but we can, really, it’s not just to say it. “To give everything to go in the direction we want”.

“There was empathy, no problems and, in fact, I was pushed by that feeling to say sometimes things that my clubs were not happy with”. He left Barcelona for a number of reasons but one of them, I’m sure, is the continual baiting to which he was subjected to by Mourinho in the media.

Although no official confirmation has been offered on his backroom staff, Mourinho will bring long-term lieutenants Rui Faria and Silvino Louro with him to United.
