Warriors’ Green not suspended for kick to groin

Green was initially hit with a flagrant 1 foul, but the league upgraded it to a flagrant 2.

“I didn’t even think it was something we should be talking about”.

This is Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors kicking Steven Adams of the Oklahoma Thunder in a place no man wants to be kicked.

In a series where every player is important for both teams, the league could and did avoid a big headache from critics everywhere.

However, Green said ahead of the ruling on Monday that he did not expect to be suspended based on his in-game conversation with referee Scott Foster. I didn’t try to do something like that.’ Honestly, I wanted to go up to him during the game and say that. I have stated throughout the National Basketball Association season that the league and the mainstream sports media are in the tank for the Warriors and this just proves it.

Asked about his mindset being one flagrant foul in the playoffs away from a suspension, Green said, “Game 4 is going to be very exciting”.

The Warriors were outscored on Tuesday night by the Oklahoma City Thunder to the tune of 73 points with Green on the court during the past two games. They’re not going to suspend Draymond Green.

While Green was busy pleading his innocence, Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook wasn’t buying it. If he would have reacted the way I thought he would have reacted, I know what that would have done to me, as well.

Green declined to directly address questions about his feelings on the league’s decision to upgrade the flagrant foul and fine him $25,000.

“Like I said before, I bring the energy to this team, and I have not been there”, he said. Hes just going to play, hes going to be himself, and well see what happens.”.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he needs Green at his best. I walked to the 3-point line and clapped everybody’s hand, and I turned around and he was on the floor. It just is what it is for me.

Green: “Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are two fantastic players that we got to stop tonight”. So no, I don’t think I’ll get suspended.

“That’s what was frustrating to me”, he said.

For the 2016 playoffs, Draymond is averaging 17.5 points, 6.8 assists, 9.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.

Of course, Jones is a fringe role player and nowhere near as essential to the Cavs as Green is to the Warriors.

“He’s mentally strong, so nothing that happened last night is going to affect Game 4 except light a fire probably”, Curry said.
