Trump tells California ‘there is no drought’
Two California cities are gearing up for visits by Donald Trump and the possibility of protests, following similar events around the country that led to violence and several arrests.

The protesters were waving Mexican and USA flags as they denounced the candidate’s stances on immigration while police cracked down on the demonstrations.
Police officers take a woman into custody after a campaign rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Fresno, Calif., May 27, 2016.
Trump has won 1,238 delegates, one more than needed to win the Republican nomination, according to an Associated Press news agency tally on Thursday. The sides faced off after Trump supporters left the rally around 4 p.m. Police later declared the gathering unlawful, ordered people to leave the area and warned they would use tear gas.
Fresno police said they did not expect trouble because violence is more likely in the dark of night.
“Don’t get me wrong – you’ve been incredible”, he continued.
“He wants to better our nation by creating more money for the US”, supporter Tony Gonzales said.
Trump immigration policy and controversial political stances have yielded unintended aggressive results from all ends of the political spectrum.
PROTEST BLUES: A demonstrator hides part of her face as she protests near the convention centre where US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump held a rally in Anaheim, California on Wednesday.
Rep. Scott Peters, D-San Diego, described the businessman as “dangerous” and “out of touch” with hard-working families. “He used a bad word because he knows nothing about business”, he said. On the other hand, Trump might really just be asking California to stop throwing its water in the ocean.
“I truly hope not.I certainly do not condone that [violence] at all”, Trump said when asked about it during a presidential debate earlier this year.
After speaking to farmers who complained of a lack of water for crops, he said: “They don’t understand, nobody understands it”. “We don’t think it’s fine to call Mexican immigrants “rapists” and ‘drug-dealers, ‘ and we don’t think it’s fine to ban an entire religion from entering our country”. “We’re going to start winning again”, he said amidst applause.
“I like that he is bold and not afraid to speak his mind”, especially about illegal immigration, she said.
Numerous protesters’ signs were about Trump’s plans to build a wall along the Mexico border.

“As much as I want to debate Bernie Sanders – and it would be an easy payday – I will wait to debate the first place finisher in the Democratic Party, probably Crooked Hillary Clinton, or whoever it may be”, the Trump campaign said in a statement.
