Another big plus for Lollapalooza over most other festivals is that it is located smack dab in the middle of Chicago so it is easily accessible by public transportation unlike Coachella or Bonnaroo which are remotely located. Alabama Shakes, alt-J, and Cold War Kinds also performed, along with more than 40 others.

That Paul McCartney returned to the “Get Back” last night at Lollapalooza wasn’t the surprise; it was who he brought out on stage.
According to Mic, tickets for Lollapalooza this weekend sold out within less than an hour, leaving a lot of disappointed music lovers. She performed her hits “Habits” and “Talking Body”.
Among the highlights was a special appearance from Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard during the encore, which also featured a snippet of the Abbey Road medley as well as tunes like “Helter Skelter” and “Can’t Buy Me Love” along with “Hi, Hi, Hi”. Sir Paul even joked about the bleed from the nearby Perry’s Stage, which housed DJ’s like Dillon Francis and Kaskade, calling some of the softer acoustic numbers he was playing a “mashup” with the heavy bass.
The Weeknd, best known for his song “Can’t Feel My Face”, took to the BudLight Stage on Friday evening.

When you can draw on a catalog though that allows you to close with a combination of “Let It Be“, “Live and Let Die”, and “Hey Jude”, you can expect nothing but ecstatic joy from fans.
