Jose Mourinho will win trophies for Manchester United, says Paddy McNair
“Mourinho arrives at Old Trafford with a point to prove and, as a Liverpool supporter, it worries me!” he said.

Despite countless protestations to that he is not a dirty player, the Belgian global has shown on many occasions that his insistence on using his elbows at every available opportunity makes him a liability to the team, and considering he offers precious little else then it is hard to make a case for him being part of the new manager’s plans.
The self-proclaimed Special One has seen success at Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan, but his time at Real Madrid is the only experience he has with the level of expectation, scrutiny and pure magnitude of task that United represents.
Mourinho’s appointment likely will not be universally welcomed by United fans.
And with Louis van Gaal having failed to mount an effective title challenge in either of his two seasons in charge, the United faithful are crying out for success in the Premier League.
I hope you never win another game Jose Mourinho.
Blomqvist added: “I think Mourinho is a very smart manager”.
His discipline, attitude and ability to easily conform to Mourinho’s system means the Portuguese is keen on bringing him to Old Trafford.
Mourinho’s excitement to be taking over a club with a “mystique and a romance” is clear, as is his desire to revive United’s ailing fortunes.
“I prefer to forget the past three years, I prefer to focus on the giant club I have in my hands now and I think what the fans are expecting me to say is that I want to win”.
For a club of United’s global standing, it has been a disappointing three years since Ferguson’s trophy-filled 26-year tenure ended.
“Jose is quite simply the best manager in the game today”, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward said in a statement. During Real Madrid’s Champions League tie against United in 2013, the typically cocksure Mourinho softened his usually aggressive press tactics, going so far as toappear in an MUTV exclusive to purr about the magnitude of the match between the sides. He bettered it in the next season as they won the Champions League along with another domestic title and Portuguese Super Cup.
At the beginning of the 2015-16 season, Mourinho signed a four-year contract, and things immediately fell apart for The Special One.
And Mourinho’s shock-therapy management style tends to wear off after two years – as expressed by Chelsea when he was sacked last December because of “palpable discord” with the players he had led to the title just seven months earlier.

Media reports said he will have a £200 million fund to bring in fresh faces, with Chelsea’s Willian, former Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Everton defender John Stones reportedly on top of his wish list.
