Pro-Trump vs anti-Trump groups in San Diego

This week, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said he’d debate Sanders to raise money for charity.

Many Trump protesters marched through the streets of downtown San Diego calling for higher wages.

An anti-Trump supporter was tackled to the ground before being handcuffed and dragged away, apparently for ignoring a request to clear the area.

He has pledged to build a border wall to keep out illegal immigrants. “I can’t and will do what I can to prevent it”.

A photo taken earlier showed the crowd waving effigies of Trump, pictures with swastikas, and signs saying Trump “incites racism and violence”.

Officers prepared extensively for the event and protesters remained peaceful until Trump’s speech was over.

The San Diego Police department said no-one had been seriously injured amid violent scenes while no property was damaged.

Despite the fact that Trump won only a plurality of votes in many states, in part because of the size of the party’s field, the presumptive nominee regularly boasts that he has won a record number of votes for a Republican nominating contest.

Mrs. Clinton in recent weeks has turned all of her attention to Mr. Trump and is all but ignoring her lingering primary battle against Sen.

“Bernie Sanders has been great”, Trump said.

Complicating her election challenge, Clinton’s Democratic rival Bernie Sanders embraced the possibility of a one-on-one debate with Trump.

Trump, a political neophyte who for years delivered caustic commentary on the state of the nation from the sidelines, fought off 16 other Republican contenders in an often ugly primary race.

Clinton leads Trump by 4 percentage points in the most recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, with their positions with voters basically unchanged since Trump’s support surged two weeks ago.
