Mark Salling, who played the bad boy Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the popular TV series “Glee”, has been charged on Friday with receiving and possessing child pornography.

If convicted, Salling faces five to twenty years on each charge.
The US Attorney’s Office said that the actor has agreed to surrender on June 3 and is expected to be arraigned then.
Salling’s lawyer has not commented, and the actor is free on bail.
According to the indictment, Salling obtained child pornography on December 26 of a year ago.
The Los Angeles Times says that Salling, 33, was downloading child porn on his computer, and also keeping images on external drives. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, once investigators “realized the scope” of Salling’s alleged collection of child pornography on his lap top and flash drives, they recommended the case to federal authorities.
Lt. Andrea Grossman of the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force made a statement that whether you are an actor, a politician or a garbage man, possession of these images constitutes a crime.
“It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, if you hurt a child you will be held accountable”.
Mark Salling has had previous run-ins with the law as past year, he was sued by another ex-girlfriend Roxanne Gorzela for sexual battery after she claimed Salling forced her to have unprotected sex with him and then later, when she confronted him over his actions, he allegedly pushed her to the ground and caused injury to her knees, according to Dailymail. Young victims are continually harmed every time an image is generated, viewed and distributed, Decker added.
