Memorial Day closings and events
The parade will feature the Sheridan High School Band, American Legion members and service vehicles among other entries.

At noon, the Polish American Veterans will have a ceremony at the Dom Polski Club. The breakfast will include coffee at Post 194 starting at 8 a.m. with food to follow at 8:30 a.m. This event is free and open to the public, veterans are especially invited.
The parade will set up on Rutan Drive at 9 a.m. Call Mike Picciallo 201-841-9896 for more information. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
A Ceremony honoring veterans will be held immediately following the parade in front of the American Legion Home, at 64 Main Street.
The cemetery hosts an annual Memorial Day service on Monday to honor the ultimate sacrifices given by the veterans buried there.
During the ceremony, members of the U.S. Coast Guard Station Siuslaw River will perform a wreath-laying ceremony on the river.
Memorial Day parade will be Sunday, May 29.
After the ceremony, participants will make their way to Veterans Park, where members of the Legion will offer a 21-gun salute in remembrance of those who gave their lives in service to the country.
The event is co-sponsored by the Greater Newburgh Interfaith Council, Veterans for Peace Hudson Valley Chapter 177, and the Veteran Family Support Alliance.
A Memorial Day parade will take place beginning at 5 p.m.in Odenton.
Where: Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, 15550 Hwy 115, Little Falls.
MOHAWK – Parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post 25, 43 W. Main St., proceeding east to Bellinger Street, then west to Columbia Street, continuing to the Mohawk Cemetery where a memorial service will take place.
At 11 a.m., St. Martin’s Episcopal Church will host a dedication of a Veterans Memorial Garden at the church at 1602 South Farm-to-Market 116.
10:15 a.m. – Pershing Park and Challenger Memorial, located between Midland and John streets near the Sage Branch Library.

That again was the case at the Allen Park Memorial Day Parade, held May 22. Motorized apparatus lineup is at 4 p.m.at the Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. building on New Waugh Chapel Road. Veteran service organizations participating in the Presentation of the Colors March should be on site with their colors no later than 10:30 a.m. The colors will be displayed during the program.
