Reddit dwellers, if you’re reading this, please understand that no matter what her BMI is, Melissa McCarthy will always, always, always be more awesome and accomplished than any of you could ever dream to be. Now, in the summer of 2015, after four years in development, Melissa’s Seven7 line is finally here. McCarthy will appear on HSN on August 13 to discuss her fashion label and Melissa McCarthy Seven7 will officially launch September 1. The actress revealed she used to be “completely against” jeans, but recently jumped on the bandwagon.
When it came to desiging the prints for her collection the actress, who is set to star in the upcoming all-female Ghostbusters film, admitted that she turned to some of her fashionable collections for a helping hand.
McCarthy told Vogue that her new clothing line includes “everything a woman needs” and also confirmed that all the pieces, including dresses, tailored separates and denim, will be priced under $150. In 2011, she told Us Weekly that she was frustrated by the options available to her and was in the process of designing a line of clothing that she hoped would help women “feel good about themselves”. “I want pockets inside my pockets”, she said. “It’s not too sweet”. “Do you mean, do I still have my Thierry Mugler and [Jean Paul] Gaultier scrapbook? Yes!”

“Melissa knows that fans love her big and lovely, and she’s not obsessed with dieting”, a source said of McCarthy’s before and after photos. ‘I put pockets in everything! “I don’t care what it is, if it’s dyeing your hair blue, if it’s a sweater, whatever you want to do, if it makes you feel good and empowered, I stand behind it 100%”. “I was in a vintage phase, shockingly, and I just didn’t get it”. “One of the best parts of a woman’s body is that curve, and I go a little bit higher on all of my things to show off the best part of the hourglass”, she said of the bottoms in her collection.
