Mini-look-alike of Thunder’s Steven Adams goes viral

Draymond Green, who was held to six points, four rebounds and three assists in Game 3, is facing a possible suspension as punishment for kicking Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams in the groin.

The foul was upgraded from a Flagrant Foul 1 to a Flagrant Foul 2, and Green was fined $25,000.

CITY (AP) – Draymond Green knows who is responsible for his kick to the groin of Thunder center Steven Adams: Russell Westbrook and the rest of the National Basketball Association stars who get to the foul line with a whole lot of salesmanship. That leaves Green one flagrant foul in this postseason shy of an automatic one-game suspension. The league announced Green’s penalty Monday, May 23, 2016, after reviewing the play from the Thunder’s 133-105 victory over Golden State on Sunday night.

“I don’t think I’ll get suspended”, Green told reporters following the disastrous blowout loss in Oklahoma City.

As expected, the post-game comments about Green’s kick was evenly divided along team lines.

Said Thunder coach Billy Donovan: “I’m sure they look at probably precedent or things that have happened in the past, and they go through it”. Adams reaches in and ties Green up, knocking the ball loose. So it’s frustrating to me to know yeah, I’ve got to make two free throws and then he gets two free throws like that.

With Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals taking place Tuesday night, the impressions from local fans on what Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green did in Game 3 vary on who you ask. A flagrant one foul is worth one point and a flagrant two is two points.

On Monday, a day after looking particularly off-rhythm shooting in Game 3, Curry had that serene look I’ve seen a few times before, usually right before something large is about to happen.

So no I don’t think I’ll get suspended. There was clearly no intent on this play, as Green had his eye on the basket and was trying to score while drawing contact. “If he were struggling with anything, I would know”, Kerr said.

Draymond Green and the Warriors might have a problem.

The NBA determines a flagrant 1 foul to include “unnecessary contact”. I have stated throughout the National Basketball Association season that the league and the mainstream sports media are in the tank for the Warriors and this just proves it.

The Thunder were phenomenal in Game 3.

They just know they don’t appreciate it. “I asked the official, and he said, ‘Well, I don’t think it was with intent, but it’s just the fact that you hit him in the groin that I have to give you a flagrant.’ We’ll see what happens, but it wasn’t on objective”.
