Lakers receive No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 National Basketball Association draft lottery

“If you get the number one pick and you don’t take Ben Simmons, you should be fired.” was the words that came out of Ben Simmons’ ex-Box Hill High School coach Kevin Goorjian before the Philadelphia 76ers were confirmed to be the winners of the NBA Draft lottery.

A Manning-Leaf debate has already begun over whether the Sixers should take LSU’s Ben Simmons or Duke forward Brandon Ingram with their selection, and while the back-and-forth talk will rage on for months, Philly’s front office should wake up Wednesday and declare Ingram is their pick.

“In comparison to my first mock, the Celtics opting for a very different player to the eye-catching skill and fluidity of 7’0” Dragan Bender is one of the most significant changes.

The report from Bleacher Report also noted that the Lakers will still look into the possibility of dealing the pick they already possess in the hopes that they may land a player who can improve them now while also keeping them competitive heading into the future.

The Sixers had a 25 percent chance of landing the top pick, the best odds in the bunch.

Lakers survive the drama of draft lottery and will have the second pick in the National Basketball Association draft: Teams have dreams of moving up in the National Basketball Association draft lottery. Embiid on the other hand has yet to play in a regular season game due to injuries, and despite being the 3rd overall pick in the 2014 draft, he could find himself deep in the depths of the Sixers rotation when it’s all said and done.

Who get’s picked at the top is still unknown.

Two decades after striking gold with the selection of Allen Iverson, the Philadelphia 76ers will once again pick at the top of the NBA Draft. Brown also went on to coach the Australian national team.

This news apparently won’t upset the Los Angeles Lakers much, as they reportedly covet Ingram with the No. 2 pick. “But we like this draft, we’re excited about this No. 3 pick”. “We don’t have to wait and see what someone else does”.

“I think Ben would fit around any foundation”, Brown told NBA Australia. I’ve known his family since the late ’80s.

The Lakers will have the No. 2 pick for the second straight year after taking D’Angelo Russell last June.

Coming off of the worst three years in franchise history, it’s understandable that the Lakers would want to get better immediately.
