The Lions don’t officially announce or confirm trades until physicals have been taken and the transaction becomes official with the league. Seisay was signed by the Lions as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Nebraska.

At 6 foot 2 and 206 pounds, Mohammed Seisay’s size is in line with other Seahawks outside cornerbacks.

He appeared in 13 games as a backup and special-teams player and finished with five tackles, but appeared to be buried on the depth chart this year.
Seisay was expected to battle for one of the final cornerback jobs, along with Lawson, Quandre Diggs, Chris Owens, Crezdon Butler, Josh Wilson and R.J. Stanford.
After the trade with Seattle, Detroit now sits on about 10 draft picks for 2016.

The Lions don’t have a third-round pick next year – they traded it to move and get Gabe Wright in this year’s draft – but have extra picks in the fifth and sixth rounds. They’re sitting on about three compensatory picks, after losing Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and Kellen Davis in free agency.
