Memorial Day ceremony set at North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery

“Many of these young men, this is the last place they saw Knoxville before they went off to war”.

On this Memorial Day, and every day, we are incredibly thankful for every one of them.

As part of the ceremony, the Miamians gave a special musical performance and there was also a 21-gun salute and some words of encouragement, memories and stories told by veterans.

“I think of all the people who have done so much for our country”.

He and other members spent Memorial Day visiting almost a dozen cemeteries across Franklin County to honor our fallen heroes, withstanding the heat to fire three voles, play “Taps”, and share a blessing.

A Memorial Day ceremony that helps us remember those who have served was held at Dickinson State University. He, along with others say why it’s so important to celebrate Memorial Day. Binder served as a Navy pilot during the Vietnam War and is the son and father of servicemen. Honor guards from American Legion Post 28 posted the colors.

Stone and King both spoke on the sacrifice of America’s armed forces members, as well as the responsibility of today’s Americans to honor those sacrifices by holding tight to the values they died for.

The staff at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain know Memorial Day is about more than picnics and shopping deals. “Its great to be out here, I feel great for this great observance on this great day”.
