Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users were given the opportunity to pre-order their free copy of Windows 10 in the weeks leading up to the launch, and these are the people to whom Microsoft is now rolling out the update.
Many long-time Windows users avoided Windows 8.1, but it appears they are much more enthusiastic about Windows 10. Windows 10 users have to specifically set a default app for different applications such as mail, calendar, and web browsers. A clean install might erase all your data and the older OS.
First, your USB stick must have a capacity of at least 4GB. Download the one depending on whether your current PC is running on 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. Only one compatible with your device will run. And as you can see, Photo Gallery only has 8 of 34 possible defaults, despite the fact that I literally just configured it as the default app for photos. (If you want to use DuckDuckGo, you’ll need the!bang extension). It was unconfirmed so we couldn’t be sure if the numbers were true, or at least close to being true. It may take a while depending on your Internet connectivity.

Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to go. But then you’ll have to manually change your settings. Windows 7 users can use the backup and restore utility to create a backup and a system fix disc.
Have you installed Windows 10 yet? Users will have to go through twice the number of mouse clicks, scroll through some content and will have to possess a certain level of technical expertise to prevent Windows 10 from switching to Microsoft Edge as the default browser.
Now you will be presented three options. Just right-click and choose “Open with”.
